At the foot of Mt. Biokovo where the mountain meets the sea, half-way between the tourist centers of Split and Makarska, lies the sun-bathed village of Stanići. Five kilometers to the north is Omiš, a medieval town of rich cultural heritage, also known as a hiding place of the pirates who raided Venicean merchant fleets. The remains of their fortification can still be seen standing on solid rock. Omiš lies at the estuary of the Cetina river. It is interesting to mention that was filmed in this landscape. It is this wilderness, so close to civilisation, that attracts numerous adventure seekers fond of extreme sports such as free climbing and rafting. Stanići is ideally placed for daily excursions to Zadar, Šibenik, Trogir and Split to the north, and Makarska and Dubrovnik to the south. The apartment building is located a dozen meters above the sea with the view on the island of Brač.
